WIFI in McDonalds--WTF

Fo' Real! I would have never thought that McDonald's this whole time were the gatekeepers to Free WIFI for the traveler and his/her portable computer.

After scarfing down a nasty cheese burger I powered up and took care of very important internet communications that have been on hold due to a lack of reliable WIFI connections.

Damn that was gross HAHA!

So, I am trying something new. I am putting together a video diary of sorts and so must edit all of the footage, which honestly I am finding there is an obvious learning curve in producing quality images that are usable. No one likes to watch video that gives you a headache.

Today I arrived at the Opera, a historical building where, that's right, they hold operas. It was actually the first building that captured my heart. Once I cleared the climbing steps of the subway, I was overwhelmed by its powerful magnificence and presence. The Eiffel Tower was an engineering feat, but impressed I was not.

Of course my camera's batteries were juiced and I realized last night that I had sent the charger back with Sahar to Norway.

DOH!

My generous Couch Surfing host, Pablo Santos has lent me his hand bag to carry the lappy around Paris. I feel very comfortable so far with this man and so it was easy to leave the large Gregory Palisade (thank you JT...) back at his flat in Montparnasse.

As I walked from the Opera's square in search for a place to use the unternet, I could not resist the temptation of finally have a croissant in Paris, France.

One Paris croissant.

One Cafe Creme.

I must say, though different from my used-to tastes, the french version of a latte is actually quite delicious.
