I actually was the cause for my flight to take off and consequently arrive late in Oslo after thinking the departure time was the boarding time...WTF!?
That's not all either...due to a mix up in information and confusion concerning the rendezvous with my best friend--which had changed multiple times by phone and email-- we both spent four hours wandering around the the city trying to figure out where each other might be. Why do ask I didn't just call to clarify things? The phone number I had successfully used in Paris only a week ago was then calling some poor guy who the first three times was understanding. Eventually under a cloud of desperation I begged the very nice gentleman manning the front desk of a very expensive hotel to let me use his internet WIFI...at which he directed me to the bar next door.
Success.
After connecting, my dear Polliwogg and I retreated to her tiny "mouse hole" of a dorm for the night, nearly defeated by the chaotic and painful evening just experienced.
