Mid-Morning Hot Date_Fall in Flagstaff

After mutually sleeping in this morning, the Sahrfroggy and I decided

we would catcha mid-morning brunch downtown.

MartAnne's had a line out the door as usual, so we had to think of somewhere else to eat quickly (we were famished!)

After my suggestion of taking a stroll cross the tracks to La Bella Vila got shot down,

we staggered to the ever so humble Downtown Diner.

Menus.

Coffee.

License plates.

chorizo and eggs for me...frenchtoast and sausages for her....

I ate one.

Fall is here in Flagstaff. We had amazing wind gusts today and the colorful leaves danced in the air to prove it.
The aspen groves on Elden are probably just right for a showing.

Later in the day I dug out my Kelty Vapor Spectra pack. Got some adventures in my head that need to somehow materialize.
So to start, I pulled out one of my most favorite bags to do some much needed repair.

These quick-release type buckles:

they are reliably unreliable in any kind of low temperature.

My advice is to replace them now

before you find out how right I am in the middle of a winter climb.
