Mountain Bike Moto Tour 2009

Summer or Fall of 2009.

Here's the idea:
One mountain bike, one bike rack equipped dual sport, some camera equipment, and my laptop- will set out on a 3-4 month tour through eight states, travelling from park to park to ride the best flow and routes the West has to offer.
Along the way I will be producing a Video Journal to record the journey.

I will try to hook up with local riders as much as possible for local knowledge and fun, which will also be key to a good film production. I have not figured the best way to go about that yet.

If anyone has recommendations on trails I must absolutely ride in any of the states, please leave a comment!

This is my objective for next year- be it Summer or Fall.
I'll know more this October 4th when I see my friend Larry Amkraut in California. Larry is showing a film to family and close friends of his recent trip to Aconcagua with one of Peru's top climbers (sorry, can't remember his name.) We are going to discuss some possibilities of me tagging along as a porter on any trips to the mountains of the southern hemisphere this coming spring.
If a spot to work on a trip does not pan-out, then I may stay in Temecula for the winter and prepare for the 3-4 month Mountain bike Moto Tour.

...but first, I need to see if this guy wants to go.
