Pines to Mines Sub

Not that the teacher will be out sick come the 20th, just something a little more epic and challenging was desired.

Definite props to Peatty's event and all. 80 plus miles of scenic, face paced, rocky forest service road with a bunch of mountain biking nuts, topped-off with a climb into Jerome for the bro party of the end year is very hard to pass...especially when your the newby local in town.

I just wanted something with a little more edge to it, being that some of the finest friends around were making a journey all the way from SoCal to ride. )DEEEPPP BREEEATH(

I'm sure that was hard to read. Anyway, tomorrow I will be testing the second portion of the mega figure-eight loop mapped out for me amigos.
Here's how it will go:

1. Connect to Schultz Crk from Buffalo Park and ride north to Schultz tank.
2. Ride South-east up Sunset towards Upper Oldham and Sunset Park.
3. Hook into Heart trail and descend what's looking like some way-gnarly switchbacks.
4. Locate Sandy Sweep and ride the Arizona trail East.

...at least that is the plan. All new track for me at this point. If I feel good about things, I may just ride the lower section of the AZ Trail to Walnut Canyon all the way thru to Fischer Point.

That would likely make it a very long day. I will pack to accommodate the decision.

Dave, your in for a treat my friend. Frank, Roshi and Brian...it's gonna be a long one. Plan for all day and a very cold first 4 hours, and, uh, you guys are in for a treat as well; even if it's the kind I gotta buy at the end of the day.

It will be so great to see you all!

Keep ya'll posted.
