I think the point was to test out some new CNC designs from engineering and to experiment a little...you know, a little bit o' R&D.
It's being tested thoroughly in the mountains of Idyllwild by the creator of Siren Cycles, Brendan and Mary Collier. Brendan is our in house tester for the 29ers and seems to be pretty good at the 29er thang.
After speaking with him about it, I learned it is about 10% stiffer in the rear than the standard 29er even with the FRO Ultra light seat and chainstays. He credited the new FRO yoke and seatstay arch.
Also the frame weighed in lighter than the standard Spider XVP!
Brendan built up to 25 lbs using not so light, but trail savy components.
Yo.
Keep yur eyes out for this big wheeled sussy at an endurance race near you.
